F.A.C.T. Flash Fiction Contest

F.A.C.T.’s Flash Fiction Contest is here again!

All ArmadilloCon Writers’ Workshop students from 2017-2025 are eligible to enter. If you have friends interested in participating in the Flash Fiction Contest and this year’s ArmadilloCon Writers’ Workshop, ask them to register at the ArmadilloCon website.

There’s a 1,000-word count limit in any genre of speculative fiction (Sci-Fi/ Fantasy/ horror/ slipstream/etc.). See the 2026 F.A.C.T. Flash Fiction Contest Guidelines for details.

Submissions Are Open Through JUNE XX

The submission portal will close on June XX, 2026, midnight CST (Austin time).

Join Us for a Social Event on Sat June XX

Contestants are invited to join fellow writers and F.A.C.T. and ArmadilloCon volunteers and fans at a social on Saturday, June XX, 7 PM, at Cosmic Coffee + Beer.

Celebrate Winners Online on Sat June XX

Contest winners will be announced, and a reading of winning entries will take place on Saturday, June XX, 7pm via Zoom.
